As the varsity volleyball season closes out with a record of 28-6, head varsity volleyball coach Cooper Phillips not only earned his 100th career win Sept. 12, he ends the season with 111 wins after the first round of playoffs.
“We work really hard in understanding how to play the game and not just go out there and try to beat someone,” Phillips said.

According to his players, Phillips always has a game plan ready, and this is how he earned this career highlight in under four years.
“That’s a big accomplishment, and he deserves it,” junior varsity setter Katherine Cauthen said. “He is a really good coach. He has a lot of pride in our team.”
As a coach, players said Phillips on not only strengths athletes skills, but he also fosters a love for the game.
“Coach Phillips has helped me as a player because he helped me re-love the sport,” junior setter Gracie Furrow said.
