Blue Prints News is a daily updated publication from students at Plano West Senior High School. Plano West Senior High School opened in 1999 as Plano ISD‘s third senior high school. We have about 2,500 students. blueprintsnews.com is a competitive student publication and is a part of several nationally recognized journalism organizations such as NSPA, CSPA, ATPI, ILPC, TAJE among others.

Our goal and mission is to tell the stories within Plano West Senior High School and give information to our students, parents, community and whoever else cares.

FACTS ABOUT US

-Plano West’s online newspaper is student-run and operated by Plano West journalism students with assistance from adviser Cortney Wood.

-Students working on the online edition also write and produce the school’s yearbook and print edition of Blue Prints News.

-The site is updated frequently. Check the recent posts on our homepage for a quick link to the latest postings.
