Nike shorts are out and sweatpants are in. This season’s styles are cute and snug. From Uggs to sweaters, winter fashion styles succeed at shielding everyone from the changing weather.
“Winter is my favorite season,” junior Louise Goacher said. “I love being able to wear my Uggs and a comfy sweatshirt.”
Another winter fashion is the tribal design shirts. They are cute and affordable and can be found in places such as Forever 21 and Urban Outfitters.
“I absolutely love my tribal shirt,” junior Ellen Piazza said. “It is really cute.”
TOMs have become quite popular since last year and this season’s new styles are cuter than before. TOMs is a company that gives a pair of TOMs to a child in need with every purchase of a pair. This season, there are new styles such as the crocheted, Herringbone, mini ankle boots, stone washed and different special edition holiday styles.
“I am obsessed with my TOMs,” junior Lara Ksiazek said. “Not only are they extremely cozy, they go with pretty much everything,”
Uggs have always dominated fall and winter footwear because they are both warm and stylish. The three most popular styles of Uggs right now are the ankle, tall and knitted. All three styles come in a variety of colors and designs. Some styles and colors, such as the black tall Ugg, are incredibly popular due to their ability to match many outfits. The most popular style of Ugg is the tall because it is warm and cozy and the wearer gets very good use out of them.
“My Uggs are my go-to shoes in the winter,” junior Maddy Thompson said. “I love them so much. They also go with a lot of different outfits.”
Perfect for winter and fall, coats are even more popular this year. They come in a variety of styles and can be paired with a number of things, such as jeans or leggings with a pair of Uggs, making them perfect for this season’s fashion.
“I’ve always loved coats because they keep you warm and you can put them with a cute shirt and jeans,” Ksiazek said.
Another new fashion is the riding-styled boots. Modeled after the boots that horseback riders wear, these boots are adorable and cozy. Easily paired with jeans and a sweater or a cute shirt, these boots are perfect for the winter fashion. They protect the wearers legs from the wind and cold with style.
“I love the riding-styled boots,” Goacher said. “They look so comfy and cute.”
These new and old fashion styles are perfect for this season because they keep everyone warm and relaxed.
“I love winter,” Thompson said. “It allows me to wear my most comfortable clothes and relax with a nice cup of hot cocoa.”
