As the fall semester comes to an end, semester exams approach, and students and teachers are beginning to prepare for finals. Students and teachers share how they plan to prepare for exams mentally and academically.
“I always feel that I have given enough practice to my students,” French teacher Madhulika Chatuverdi said. “So I’m mentally way positive that my students will do well.”
While preparing for exams, junior Isabella Nagar said working together on reviews helps them retain the information while also getting to hang out. Her main focus is studying for exams she believes she will do poorly on, so she feels prepared for them.
“I go to Starbucks with my friends,” Nagar said. “I study for a couple of hours.”
Before exams, junior Brooke Selkin said she has a rigorous ritual she follows to prepare and calm her mind. These practices not only help her focus but also give her confidence as she approaches her exams.
“Personally, I like to make sure I eat a good meal, a good breakfast, and I maintain a good, consistent sleep schedule,” Selkin said. “I do exercise before my exams.”
