Ian Pauken is a junior at Plano West. He is a first-year staff writer for Plano West BluePrints. His hobbies include consuming media and using that excess knowledge in filmmaking. He also is big into the NBA but only plays basketball for fun in his free time.
His career goals are not anything specific yet but determined to work in the film industry. His total goal is to have the total package in filmmaking and be able to work in all sectors of the field. His interest in journalism stemmed from an interest in learning perspectives and being able to see different stories on the same subject. He likes to view journalism as a sort of Rashomon fact in a way. He also found interest in journalism through finding expression by writing and spreading news stories and opinions. He discovered this interest by reading New Yorker and New York Times articles.
