As the year continues, many may find themselves in a basic routine of where to eat and what to order. Do not worry. Recently, popular restaurants and fast food chains have been releasing special items off of their ‘secret menus’ to the public. These are perfect for those who are looking to spice up their weekly routine.
Starbucks: Majority of the population already has a typical order in mind when walking into the popular coffee shop, but these breakfast frappuccinos are anything but ordinary. If you are running late for school and only have time to stop for a quick brew of coffee, do not stress. Starbucks has a secret menu filled with crazy coffees with tastes of all your favorite cereals. There is a Cinnamon Toast Crunch frappuccino, which is essentially a white mocha with pumps of cinnamon and hazelnut syrups and topped with cinnamon sugar. If that is not your style, there is also a Captain Crunch Berry frappuccino that will satisfy your sweet tooth. This drink starts as a regular Strawberries and Creme frappuccino, but adds pumps of caramel, hazelnut and toffee syrups and is finished off with java chips to create that iconic Captain Crunch taste. These drinks can be ordered at any participating Starbucks. Be sure to ask for them by recipe or pull up the ingredients list to show the barista.
In-N-Out: This restaurant is memorable for its quick and easy-to-read menu. What many might not know is that there are plenty more items. You just have to ask. If you are looking for a new twist on the classic In-N-Out cheeseburger, try ordering it Animal Style. This sandwich has all the basics plus pickles, extra In-N-Out spread, grilled onions and burger patties with mustard fried into them. This burger can get a bit sloppy, but if a mess does not scare you, Animal Style is a unique way to switch up your regular order. In-N-Out also considers those who are watching their carbohydrate intake by coming up with the Protein Style Burger. This style takes all the typical burger ingredients and holds them together in a lettuce wrap instead of two bread buns. It is a new spin that adds freshness and also considers your diet.
Chick-fil-A: Chick-fil-A is known for its classic chicken sandwich, but there are also some not-so-recognizable treats on the restaurant’s secret menu, like the Chicken Quesadilla. The restaurant was right in saying “Eat More Chicken,” as it takes its original chicken pieces and melts cheese between a soft tortilla to create the staple Mexican food. This item is only at participating locations, so be sure to ask your waiter if the quesadilla is available before ordering. If you are more inclined to the beloved chicken sandwich, maybe try out its spicy cousin, the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. This sandwich takes the original chicken patty and coats it with a spicy buffalo sauce. It is a simple twist but a whole new taste.
