As summer heat starts to subside, fall weather is upon us. It is finally time to put away the tank tops and shorts, and start pulling out fall clothes. The fashion for fall is always changing, but here are some fall pieces that will help you stay trendy during this season.
From chocolate browns to deep plums, neutral warm-toned pieces of clothing are all the rage this summer. According to Pantone, a color space website, darker, more earth-toned colors are a fall staple. These colors have been seen on the runway in various articles of clothing, but mostly shown in turtleneck sweaters, basic tops and jackets. Often these colors are paired with some kind of bold print, to offset the simplicity of the outfit.
Lately, the 90’s have seemed to make a comeback in this year’s fall trends. The once very popular off-the-shoulder, cap-sleeve shirts have been seen in many popular retail stores such as H&M, Zara and Forever 21. This trend has also been photographed on many runways, and is said to be making an overwhelming comeback for the fall. These blouses have been seen in many bold colors and are often paired with leggings or ripped ”mom” jeans, for a boho inspired look.
Following the 90’s trend, statement chokers have also been spotted in the hottest trends for this fall. Chokers were exceedingly popular in the 90’s and were called “tattoo chokers” because they were so tightly placed around the neck, resembling a tattoo. The classic 90’s chokers were often just plain black, with no accessories added to it. Statement chokers have since revamped the classic 90’s choker by adding an eye catching pendant or charm. The addition of a statement choker will immediately add bold flair to any outfit.
As for shoes, thigh high boots have been making an appearance for the fall. Many prestigious brands, such as Steve Madden and Stuart Weitzman, have come out with various new styles of thigh highs for the season. Coming in multiple neutral colors, thigh high boots are very applicable to any outfit. They are most commonly worn with oversized sweaters and dresses, making it a perfect piece to add for your fall collection.
