With summertime approaching, there is no better time than now to get outside and enjoy some of the best activities Dallas has to offer. Whether you like to rock out at outdoor concerts, or do something as simple as grabbing a bite at the food trucks, there is surely something for you to do.
Dallas Arboretum Cool Thursdays Concert: All Funk Radio Show

The All Funk Radio Show is committed to providing a good vibe for all ages to enjoy. This concert is ensured to be fun-filled, with a high-energy dance band experience from gifted artists who play live. The show’s repertoire of more than 150 songs include old school R&B, Motown, hip-hop and pop songs that pertain to all ages. Downtown Fountain Place

The Downtown Fountain Place is an iconic architectural structure along the Downtown Dallas skyline that is a must-see. This 1.2 million square foot office tower of green reflected glass lies on an oasis of beautiful and colorful waterfalls and fountains. The uniquely designed structure with 217 water jets has received international recognition. If you are driving through downtown and keep catching glimpses of Fountain Place, you might think you are looking at a different building each time. It has some of the best parking in the Central Business District (more than 5,000 spaces), plus a fleet of restaurants, hotels and health clubs. And let us not forget the water gardens designed by the same company that constructed the water features at Walt Disney World’s Epcot theme park.
Klyde Warren Park

Klyde Warren Park is a well known area in downtown Dallas and a good place to grab a bite and take a stroll through during the warm summer months. This 5.2 acre park has grown to be a popular outdoor spot for urbanites and sight seekers. With plenty of outdoor seating and live music, Klyde Warren is a lively spot to enjoy the fresh air. The park hosts concerts and events year round, but one thing people love most about the locale are the food trucks. Make sure to look out for the grilled cheese truck and ice cream sandwich truck to top off your perfect summer day.

Spend a day of your summer at the Arboretum to see fairy tales with a texas twist. Four 15’ topiary flower houses create a village and a hay bale maze. Family Fun Fridays in June and July include children’s activities, a petting zoo and more. If you love to breathe in fresh air and stroll through beautiful beds of flowers and greenery, dedicate a day to enjoy the nature.
