Teacher Feature: Lynn Pettit
Her favorite part about teaching: “The kids. They are so excited and optimistic about the future. They have so much enthusiasm and life in them. It is contagious, and this brings me so much joy.”
Jobs she would have if she was not a teacher: “I would want to be a rock star or have any job by the beach or water. Also, I would want to be an attorney. I am able to win any argument. Just ask my hubby.”
Pieces of advice for students: “Don’t do drugs. Stay true to yourself, true to your heart and true to your values.”
Her biggest pet peeve: “Laziness and dishonesty.”
Her favorite thing about the subject she teaches: “The kids. Math is great and everything, but the kids are the ones that keep me coming back.”
