A Toy Story for Every Teenager
Whether it is the lovable characters, the adventurous plotline or just the whimsical idea that toys are alive, there is so much to love about Disney Pixar’s Toy Story series. With rumors about a possible Toy Story 4 floating through the air, people are excited for what is in store for the franchise. Toy Story has played a significant role in several West students’ lives and has taught them a few valuable lessons throughout the years. With a new movie, students, parents and all sorts of people feel that their childhood will resurface from the depths of their persona, and with this, will remember the lessons they learned.
“I’m super excited,” junior Veronica Santa Anna said. “I think it’s cool that the story keeps going after all these years, even though things have changed for the toys and Andy is in college.”
People of all ages have enjoyed the Toy Story movies, but perhaps the more interesting thing is that the series has helped viewers blossom into the people they are now by aiding them in the challenging process of growing up.
“Toy Story helped me let go of my past,” junior Idan Pisek said. “The movies helped me step out of my childhood and grow up to be who I am today.”
After watching Andy and the toys develop, Pisek has learned to follow in their footsteps. Toy Story has helped him smooth the transition into adulthood.
“It helped me see what’s important in life and to remember the important people in my life too,” Pisek said.
Pisek explains that even though Woody and Andy grew distant over the years, Andy always remembered Woody even when Woody thought his friend had forgotten him.
“It’s nice knowing that there are people who will always stand by you,” Pisek said. “Toy Story really helped in understanding this.”
The Toy Story movies have also helped viewers remember their childhood as well.
“When I was younger, I kind of had these feelings that maybe my toys were actually alive,” Santa Anna said. “This made me feel more connected with them and love them more too.”
The Toy Story movies helped individuals to appreciate the small things from their childhood.
“With the new movie coming out, and even with the third one, I really enjoyed reminiscing in my childhood memories and I love how they helped keep my inner child alive,” Santa Anna said.
