Watch out Dallas there is a little piece of Hollywood coming our way and rumored to be here to stay. After the sudden trade of NBA player, Lamar Odom from the Lakers to the Mavericks, Odom and his reality star wife, Khloe Kardashian had to make sudden plans to relocate to the Lone Star state. North Texas has had its small taste of the Kardashians prior to the trade when Kim was dating Dallas Cowboy, Miles Austin and when oldest sister, Kourtney was a student at Southern Methodist University.
Regardless of the location, the Kardashians as family and a brand have a tendency to take over whatever they set their minds to. Many Texans like senior Monica Shell had that mind set when pondering the impact Khloe will have on the big-d and if she will be bringing the cameras along for the ride.
“It will be weird having such a well-known celebrity that I watch on TV so often living in our city,” Shell said. “I’m excited to see what Kardashian imprints she’s going to make on Dallas.”
Khloe Kardashian gains fame like the rest of her family from their original hit reality show “Keeping up with the Kardashians” that later led to the multiple spin offs, such as “Kourtney and Khloe take Miami” and the couples very own reality show “Khloe & Lamar.” The shows have had a large audience since first airing and continue to maintain a strong fan base that craves anything and everything Kardashian. Some students such as Senior Brittany Wilson express how Dallas residents and fellow students get rather star struck as sightings of Khloe throughout Dallas steadily increase.
“I have yet to see her myself, but I have heard all of the hype about friends seeing Khloe and family out at Mavs games, North Park Mall, and all over downtown Dallas,” Wilson said.
So this new Dallas resident has been well heard of and seen but what is it that will keep Khloe talked about as they settle in Dallas? The many projects are rumored to expand the Kardashian empire even more. The first rumored Kardashian establishment in Dallas was an opening of a new location of their family-owned clothing store, Dash. Though that rumor has yet to be verified, it is no secret that Khloe wasted no time signing on with The Mix 102.9 with her own radio show “The Mix Up with Khloe.” More information is expected to be revealed in the new season of Khloe & Lamar that airs Feb. 19 on E!. The preview for the new season highlights on their Texas sized move and their new life in their new surroundings.
“Khloe and Lamar stole so many viewers hearts,” Shell said. “Let’s see if they can do the same to Dallas.”
