Designer products; are they a splurge or a waste of money? There are many differing opinions on whether or not they are worth it. My personal opinion is that not only are they worth it, but that every girl should own a pair of designer shoes with the outfit and a purse to match.

Christian Louboutin, Prada, Chanel and Versace are just a few of the many designers known to make fabulous shoes. Out of all the shoe designers, Louboutins seem to be the most popular. Anyone that is someone in Hollywood owns at least one pair of the infamous red soled shoes.

Considering most trends start out with celebrities, it makes sense that stars like Victoria Beckham and the Kardashian family would be head over heels for these shoes. But what is actually making people fall in love with the brands is the style and the ever-lasting quality. The shoes are designed to be durable and last a lifetime. With prices ranging from $500 to over $1,000, I believe they are a great investment.

I got my first pair of Louboutins last year. They are so comfortable and gorgeous. The designer puts a spin on classic black pumps. They are the most comfortable heels I have ever worn, and I plan on still wearing them twenty years from now.

But shoes are not the only product that people are craving; designers are starting to design clothes that are timeless and will always be classics. Burberry has designed trench coats that were in style forty years ago, are in style now, and will still be in style in forty years. Designers create more and more signature styles because they know people will invest in them. Every designer has a line of their signature pieces and those pieces are continued to be made and will be made for many years. People continue to buy them because they know their investment in that piece of clothing will be timeless.

But surprisingly, clothes and shoes do not bring in the most money. Accessories do. Take Louis Vuitton for example. The main profit of the designer comes from the handbag line. The designer is classic and any piece that is purchased will last a long time. The quality of the leather is great and the styles are classic pieces that will never go out of style.

Although Chanel has an equal amount of profit between clothes and accessories, the accessories are seen more often. The classic Chanel shoulder bag in any color is a must have that any fashion-lover needs. It gives any outfit a sophisticated look, and is a key piece in every woman’s wardrobe.

Overall, I believe that designer pieces are classics worth the investment, and they will not disappoint.
