Meraal Hakeem, Staff Writer
Meraal Hakeem is a junior and a staff writer for the 2014-2015 Plano West BluePrints newspaper. Hakeem’s previous journalism experience includes entering writing competitions and interning at Susan G. Komen, where she interviewed cancer survivors and wrote stories on their strength. Being a journalist boosted Hakeem’s curiosity and also aided in deciding her future major. In the future Hakeem plans to finish a novel she is currently writing and to travel to as many places as possible to learn about various cultures.
