PALs adviser Nancy Lewis was recently named the 2012 Award Winner of the PISD Education Foundation Grant, sponsored by Park Place Lexus, Frost Banking Investments Insurance, Plano ISD Council PTA, Alliance Data and HUAWEI. Lewis applied for the grant to supplement the PALs’ holiday fundraiser, an effort to provide food over the holidays for the people in the Free Lunch Program. Their cause was aided by science department by way of the department’s annual canned and nonperishable food item collection. With this award, the PALs will be able to purchase gift cards for each family to buy a turkey or ham for the holidays.
