The Plano West Choir is sponsoring the third annual West Idol. It is an exciting time to showcase the talent from Plano West, Jasper and Shepton. You won’t want to miss this outstanding event.
You can sing with a CD accompaniment or with guitars or piano. Choose something you think will win the audience and the judges.
The judges are Mr. Richard Matkin, Superintendent of Schools and Miss Texas. The audience also gets in on the judging by purchasing voting tickets at the door and placing their voting tickets in the ballot box for their favorite act.
The audition is Thursday, Oct. 11 at 4:30 in the West Choir Room, building C, room 331. Sign up for an audition time on the bulletin board in the hall next to the choir room.
The West Idol Show is Thursday, Nov. 15 at 7:00 p.m. Not only will you have a chance to enjoy each act, you will have a chance to see the great talent of Miss Texas as well as “Dance for a Cause,” the creative dance team of Plano West. Audience Tickets go on sell in the Choir Room on Nov. 1 and will be sold at the door the evening of the show for $5.00. The voting tickets will be on sell in the lobby of the theatre prior to the doors opening for the show for $1.00 each. You may purchase as many as you want to vote for your favorite IDOL.
