Rice Krispies Treat Pumpkins

This is the perfect autumn treat that will last longer than a real pumpkin. They make great gifts or party favors for the season.

Ingredients:

6 cups of Rice Krispies cereal

3 Tablespoons of butter

4 cups of mini marshmallows

Red and yellow food coloring

Rolo candy

Green M&M’s

How To:

  1. In a medium microwave safe bowl, melt the butter and mini marshmallows in the microwave.
  2. Once fully melted, add 2 drops of yellow and 1 drop of red food coloring to create an orange mixture. Continue adding drops of color until you get your desired orange color.
  3. Add the Rice Krispies cereal and mix until fully coated.
  4. Take a handful of the cereal mixture and round it into a ball between your hands.
  5. Once you have all your little pumpkin shaped treats, add a rolo candy at the top to act as the stem. The green M&M should sit next to the stem to act as a little leaf.

Mummy Brownies

This spooky treat will totally get you in the fall mood. This twist on a classic dessert adds a new level of Halloween spirit.

Ingredients:

1 box of brownie mix

1 12oz bag of white chocolate melts.

Edible candy eyes

How To:

  1. Prepare the brownies as instructed on the back of the box. Once brownies are made, place them in the refrigerator to cool.
  2. While your brownies are cooling, melt your chocolate melts in a medium saucepan on low heat.
  3. Allow chocolate to melt, mixing gradually to make sure it does not burn to the bottom of the pan. Once the chocolate is completely melted, remove from heat.
  4. Take the brownies out of the refrigerator and place them on parchment paper.
  5. Drizzle the melted white chocolate over the brownies in a zigzag motion to recreate the paper on mummies. Then, add the edible candy eyes and you have a mummy brownie.
