Autumn in the Arboretum

When: Oct. 13 – Nov. 30

Where: 8525 Garland Rd, Dallas, Texas 75218

Price: $15 general admission pass that lasts until the end of the year plus additional cost depending on activities throughout the event.

As the weather gets cooler and the trees start changing colors, the Dallas Arboretum opens up for autumn.  Over 90,000 pumpkins, gourds and squash are put together to form a pumpkin village. The festival has many different activities such as hay bale maze, scavenger hunt and a pumpkin patch for people to enjoy and take pictures.

 

Turkey Trot

When: Nov. 24 at 9:00 a.m.

Where: Dallas City Hall

Price: Untimed events are $35.00 and timed events are $40.00

The turkey trot is an annual marathon held by the YMCA on Thanksgiving. Participants can run or walk a 5k or 8 mile event individually or in teams. The turkey trot is also a popular volunteer event for students, so if you need your hours sign up quick.

 

Flea Style

When: Nov. 11-12

Where: Fair Park Automobile Building

Friday preview: 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Saturday show: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Price:$5 – $48

Flea Style is a flea market where 250+ vendors gather to sell handmade and vintage items, such as art, jewelry, furniture and more. The event also includes a photo booth, music, and food trucks for people to enjoy while they shop around. It is a great event to find unique things for yourself, or for others to give as a gift during the holiday time.

 

Jingle Ball

When: Nov. 29

Where: 2500 Victory Avenue Dallas, Texas 75201 – American Airline Center

Price: Varies on seating

Jingle Ball is an annual concert held by KIIS-FM, where a group of popular artists tour big cities and perform at the event. This year’s lineup is Meghan Trainor, The Chainsmokers, Fifth Harmony, Backstreet Boys, Alessia Cara, Charlie Puth, Daya, Lukas Graham and Hailee Steinfeld.
