Places to Eat Near School

Fatima Bhaiwala, Senior Editor

As the school year arrives, new students are greeted with the opportunity of off-campus lunch. Eating off-campus can be exciting, but figuring out where to go in the short period of time you are given can be confusing. Here is a small guide on the fastest and best places to get lunch, according to me.

El Queso

Windhaven Plaza, 3309 Dallas Pkwy. #451, Plano, TX 75093

El Queso is one of the most popular restaurants that students go to for lunch. It is known for its speedy services and good Mexican food.

“How much I love El Queso is defined by how many times I went last week, which was four,” senior Nicole said. “I love to eat.”

Mooyah

Preston Parker Crossing, 4801 W. Parker Rd. Suite 155, Plano, TX 75093

Mooyah is a good place to go to when you are in the mood for a delicious burger. You can customize your own burger and get it quickly. Bonus: they have good customer service.

“I love Mooyah,” senior Jace Carter said. “It’s a great place to go. It’s cheap and fast.”

The Shops at Willow Bend

6121 W. Park Blvd. Plano, TX 75093

Willow Bend is a good place to go when you and your friends want to eat something different. There are variety of options offered at the mall’s food court: Bosphorus Mediterranean Grill, Chick-fil-A, Made In N.Y. Pizza, Milk Bubbles, Phil’s Philly Grill, Sonic and Which Which?

“I love the Willow Bend Mall because there is so many places to eat and hangout,” senior Paolo Adorable said.

Einstein Bros. Bagels

Willow Bend Market, 5976 W. Parker Rd. #308, Plano, TX 75093

If you are short on time, then Einstein Bros. Bagels is a perfect place to go. It is located near school, and has an array of bagels that you can choose from.

“[Einstein Bros. Bagels] is delicious,” senior Lauren Finan said. “You can never go wrong with a bagel.”

Starbucks

Willow Bend Market 5960-5964 W. Parker Rd Plano, TX 75093

If you want to go somewhere quiet where you can grab a light lunch, Starbucks is the place for you. Along with their many drinks, you can pick up small desserts and sandwiches to eat.

“It is basically everywhere, and it is close to the school,” junior Sophia Ryne said. “You can get something to eat and a delicious drink.”
