Pretty Much is a Los Angeles/Canadian-based pop boyband that was created by Simon Cowell for his label Syco Records.  The group started off by performing covers either on social media platforms or Youtube.

Having some success there, the guys were officially a band when they moved in together. It was a secret that Simon Cowell created the band but soon fans start to realize that they were a band. Although they were trying to keep the band a secret that doesn’t stop them from creating covers and publishing them on Soundcloud.  Their original name was going to be Beanz, which was an acronym with all of their initials put together.  At first, Beanz was the name of their Soundcloud page, then, later on, they came up with the name Pretty Much.

The boys initially gained attention on social media with their covers of songs and dance videos. In July 2017, their debt single Would You Mind” was released. Just one month later, they got their first TV appearance at the 2017 Teen Choice Awards.

Pretty Much performed Would You Mind on MTV’s TRL in October 2017, along with their second released single Teacher.

On October 27, 2017, they released Open Arms. In November 2017, they released No More Ft. French, Montana and performed on The X Factor.
