There are many types of sleep disorders, some serious, which are in need of medical attention, others not as much.
Some sleep disorders are common like Bruxism which causes you to involuntarily grind your teeth while you are sleeping. Insomnia is also a common disorder, it causes a difficulty with falling asleep and maintaining sleep.
Infants, teenagers, and adults all have a certain amount of time they need to sleep in order to feel well rested and ready for the day. The general amount of time for infants to sleep is about 16 hours. Teenagers must sleep for about 9 hours, and adults must sleep for about 7-8 hours everyday.
If you don’t get much sleep chances are you’re going to feel drowsy and fatigued throughout the day. You will most likely do everyday tasks much slower than what you would any other day.
Although having a sleep disorder may prevent you from getting the sleep necessary for you to feel energized and alert throughout the day. Sleep disorders can happen to anyone, teenagers, children, and adults.
